I believe the lady in the middle wearing white pants is the actress Deborah Winger and the man behind her is her husband and Norman has mentioned he is friends with her. The significance of that is that she is a Jewish celebrity who has lived in Israel and is apparently visibly anti-Zionist, which is very rare. Norman lives in the Coney Island area of Brooklyn New York, so this is near his home, on the boardwalk, I believe. I live in this area as well.

Norman, you look great in casual summer threads 👍. Hope you’re gonna take plenty of time for r&r. You’ve been indefatigable yourself, and so many of us are so grateful to you, more than you could possibly know. If I knew you, you’d be an honored guest at my sunday manakeesh brunch for life. Thank you for all you’ve done and are likely to do 🙏.

Defense of Palestinian rights is good for the skin. That people who defend Palestine are healthier, have better complexion. Mr. Finkelstein's picture proves this!

Brava! Listen here, Debra, there's no way you're 71 and a year older than me! Get real! I just turned 70 on tax day. I had no idea that you were anti-Zionism. Thank God! It's good to know that not all people are brainwashed, or have somewhere along the line gotten "red-pilled" to what's really going on and who's ultimately responsible. One looks, and if they don't live in avoidance and denial of truth, they notice that it's Zionazis at the top of everything, and responsible for all the mayhem and mass-murder. It took me decades to recognize the truth; and, since I lived in a "Jewish" foster care agency in San Francisco when I was a kid, and have been very grateful for those three years, I didn't want to believe that "Jewish" 'leaders' are the ones behind virtually everything; but, about two or three years ago, it started to gel for me. I never understood why the Zionist "Jews" in the foster care agency did not like the non-Jewish children, and were very cold to them. Oh, the staff nicely provided for their needs, as no doubt primarily provided to them by federal grant moneys, and they took us some places and gave us some good experiences, but back then I even felt that there was something missing, such that when I moved out on my own at 18, I never looked back.

I also realized about the same length of time ago, that I'm very likely part Ashkenazim myself, though I had no idea about that (I doubt either of my sisters know it either). But along with some other things such as the above, I started to piece things together that my mother never wanted me to put together: She constantly used Yiddish slang. Her maiden name was Wolf. Though she was allegedly born in Rochester, New York in 1920 (I don't know what to believe anymore), her family was originally from Stuttgart, Germany. She and her family were Catholic, probably converting to same during one of the pogroms in my estimation. And she was, at least with me, extremely secretive about our past, getting very angry with me if I broached the subject. There is a void when one doesn't know their history.

Anyway, Mazel Tov and Shalom!

I have no idea what Queen of Wingers is, but this is a cool collection of justice-loving Jews.

Excuse me. I don't understand what this happening is about. I suppose it's not meant for me to grasp.....

I'm guessing that's him celebrating something with his family and friends. It's nice that he's sharing that with us.
